Photo was probably a promotional shot for advertising, which means in those days would have been shot with a 4x4 camera with the plate film. They were tri-pod mounted cameras. My grandfather had one...took great pics...but they were laborious to use.

And I just got some clues from the house that tell me it's not an old pic. Look at the white screen door. They didn't have those in the 50's. That door looks like the Larson door we put on just a few years ago.
