Quote from: djfordmanjack on 2025-05-17 08:18I am guessing, and judging from my own situation, people just spend more time outdoors and less time indoors in front of the computer at this time of the year. attending shows, meeting people and even working on cars is more fun when it gets warmer in spring.
But I'm watching ............   Waiting on tires and wheels for the green/white 57.  Sent wheels to be powder coated, be interesting to see how they came out.

When I was 14 years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned 21, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last 7 years!

Those look great. I'm curious if anybody here has had experience with clear coating shiny stuff OVER TIME. I'm wondering how it holds up, since obviously they can't do the usual(?) sandblasting.
I can do this, I can do this, I, well, maybe

Good morning Everyone, today being Memorial Day thinking of friends from the past that I served with some who have passed others still with us. A picture of my Father and me getting ready to visit the VFW to celebrate him turning 100 years old, he passed recently almost making 103. Enjoy the Day..IMG_0232.jpg

I will be leaving for Tulsa, OK tomorrow, a 400ish drive each way. I have an appointment with Gateway Classic cars on Wednesday morning. Their fees sound reasonable, but we can't talk numbers until they physically see the car. If the numbers are good, I'll leave it there and get a rental to drive home. :001:

Think I removed my first rear glass on the 57.  I think cement was softer than the rubber seal, just cut it out I was told.  Yep a piece at a time chipped out after I figured out how to get the chrome trim off. Now to clean the body channel and clean the glass before the reinstall.  I've done mechanics years but the body stuff never, I'm learning with YouTube university. How about a pined "how to do xx in body repair" glass pannel repairs etc.
