Nice, neat work Gary!

Projects are way easier to come by than the time and energy to complete.  I saw the Galaxie and was suckered into it.  August 26th four years ago, it was my birthday so I was taking it easy and watching old movies and shopping FaceBook MarketPlace.  I've always had a soft spot for '65 Galaxies...Dad had a new one, I liked the total model changes, and the Lemans headlights were so cool.  On top on that, I had this Cammer without a home (PIC).  This experimental engine never made it down the production line...but it was so very, very close to being customer order right from your local dealership.  The first printing of the '65 Service Manual (February '64...you know...back in the analog days when there was a six month lead time to get printed support materials to the dealerships by September 1st for the new model year unveiling) had two new engine codes for the VIN.  The new for '65 engines were 'L' and 'M' codes...L for the 427 SOHC 4V and M for the 427 SOHC 8V.  Yes, one could order a brand new '65 Galaxie with a 635HP single four barrel or 665HP 2x4 427 SOHC.  SO, back to my birthday.  The movie was boring and I was shopping more than watching the movie.  Bigger than life there was a post for a garage sale in Toledo (less than an hour away) with a picture of the Galaxie.  Somehow I justified that it was my birthday and I hadn't been to a good garage sale in some time and I was overdue for a good ole wild goose chase.  The long and short, the Galaxie was bought and came home the next day.  PIC is of the Galaxie in the garage sale driveway.   The plan is to sacrifice this very clean, 42k mile Galaxie into a 'M' code clone.  The frame table is temporary home for the upgraded frame, Cammer, TKX, Hotchkis, Wilwood, Unisteer (PIC).  In the meantime, the Galaxie is my daily driver.

A SOHC motor w/AC, I LOVE IT! Great project, looking forward to watching it unfold. IDK about you guys, but I'm up for a build thread?

AC and steering pump brackets are very, very hard to find if they exist at all.  At Gary Speed, those brackets represent weeks of fabrication.  Four groove crank and water pump pulleys added a couple of months.  A cruiser requires three pedals, AC, PS and power R&P!  I have recently added speed control to my must-have list.
