That's a shame about Bob's car. Certainly was a beautiful '57. Bob's a good guy. Glad he was able to come through it ok.

I'd like to know more about the accident and resulting damage. I can't locate the Facebook thread, or Bob, so if anyone has a link or info, please let me know.

  Wasn't there another member a few years back in the LA area that had a major collision in a Custom 300? I seem to remember it was repaired. May have even been this car?

It was this car. That accident was also returning from a show on the Socal freeways. When that accident happened, the car was turquoise, and it was that accident that prompted the total rebuild. He got squashed in the middle of a 3 car accident on that one.....got front and back.

On another note, and I do not want to start a will-never-end political discussion, but I'm angry as hell after reading my Social Security cost-of-living adjustment for 2026.After no increases the past two years, my net monthly is going DOWN in 2026 by 22.00!!!!!! One thing I'm angry about is the fact they sent it out to be received just a few days before Christmas.

I think mine went up? Maybe Medicare stuff/ I have all the supplemental things that was already coming out of the total...

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  Back out of the "frozen tundra" techno blackout, able to get my 57 fix now!

It's a slow day for posts so I have a question: two shoes are a pair, two socks are a pair, pants are a pair, underwear is a pair but shirt is not a pair.  Why is a shirt not a pair if both pants and underwear are said to be pairs?  They're all worn and have either two legs or two arms.

Personally...I only recognize PEARS.
