Two car shows coming up for me. This weekend in Shamrock, Tx (I40) is a parade and car show afterwards. Next weekend is the Cook's Garage West Texas Roundup in Lubbock. Looking forward to both. Shamrock is a short 90 mile drive, and Lubbock is 125. Hope to see some '57 forum members in Lubbock.

Staying at the Shamrock Motel? I did in '17. The guy that owns it is a character, and nice as one can be.
Kind of a neat town.
If you go to my website for pics you'll see a pic of a car that is somewhat  worse for wear...look for one entitled "Future Street Rod". LOL!!! It is in the yard on the south side of his property.

Not going to stay overnight, I'll probably be home for dinner. Shamrock is a town I go thru about once a month while out on my "daily drives". The neat little towns of Canadian and Miami are about an hour north of Shamrock on US 60.
About 1/2 hour south of shamrock is Wellington, where Bob Owens Salvage yard is (Flat Top Bob on the Hamb)

I wonder what's going on with the forum this morning...........new record number of guests @ 1361 !!!  Almost double the previous record.

I've been through Canadian and Miami, but didn't stop. Next time maybe.
Have also never been to Wellington, but sounds like I need to do that as well.
Wonder how many of those "visitors" are potential members and how many are...well...going to cause me to send you an e-mail.

Well, probably none. Only two applicants this morning, and I rejected both. James told me long ago that when the numbers get abnormally high, it's robots. Hahaha, I actually banned two members last week and deleted their Russian(?) posts without you having to make me aware.

Weird weather week. It is currently 24 degrees in Amarillo. Checking the weather for Saturday's car show in Lubbock, the weather forecast is for 93 !!

Yea...same here...weather is definitely on a roller coaster. We're at 23 according to my little weather station. At about midnight it was at 20. Saturday here is to be around 88. Mother Nature has a hard time letting go of winter this year.

Ford Blue blood

I'm currently 29 this morning (0630), was in the low 80s Sunday.  Actually had snow yesterday, just a dusting and it was gone by noon.

I may have my first electrical issue with my '57. Replaced a headlight yesterday and it still doesn't work...just a very dim glow.
I wired the car as if was fiberglass...nothing grounded to the body or frame, so I suspect I have a ground wire loose. I did just clean the engine compartment with a high-pressure hose, and I do have an uncovered ground wire terminal on the radiator support, so that's where I'll start looking. I can't remember how I grounded the headlights, I guess I'm about to remind myself.
BTW, I just turned the odometer to 90,000 since build completion.

Got a rebuild kit for the current master.  It seems to have a couple extra parts than the original. It's there an exploded view of a single bowl master assembly?   I found some videos for a 60's mustang rebuilt.  There is a small round rubber and a rubber washer I for get the order of and the small rubber was not in mine.

Is that 90,000 since you built it? True 90k? THAT is phenomenal! WOW!  :burnout:

Yes sir,I installed a GPS speedometer with 0 miles on the odometer about 5 or 6 months after beginning the "working the bugs out".  That was about 10 years ago............hard to believe.
