Wow, that was a biggie! Is that yours in the first pic, front row, 4th from right? Drive or trailer? The parking lot for trucks and trailers must have been huge.

Rich, yes, that is mine. I trailered it as it was over a 7 hour ride and I had to go through New York. Even though the car is reliable and has AC, just figured it was safer and more comfortable towing it.
When I was 14 years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned 21, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last 7 years!

No sir, awards were yesterday at 9 am; I was on the road home before 4am and you had to be present.

Strange time to have awards. Never participated in a show with awards at that time. Generally around 3 p.m. or so. Just a way to pad the motel/hotel owners and restaurants pockets.

Technically, the show is still going on...

I'm guessing there were zero Fords with an LS motor. If there was one, I feel sorry for the guy (almost, lol).

LOL, NO LS allowed!

...and no, they grouped by year/model so all 66-67's, 68-69's etc... whether Fastback's, Formal Roof's, Convertible's, Talladega's; all same class...  :glasses12:

I saw something yesterday that I wouldn't mind NEVER seeing again................A Mustang Mach? SUV! I'm pretty sure it's electric. What the heck was Ford thinking putting The Mustang badge on a SUV?
"Maverick" would have been a better choice.

The Mustang Mach E has been out for at least 5 years, but I guess they're not a big seller in Texas.

As noted they have been around for about 5 years. HOWEVER...there is no way they are a Mustang. Nothing more than a bold attempt to get people to buy them by badging them as such.
Calling them a Maverick would also be wrong, given that it is now the brand of a mid-size P/U that has also been out for about 5 years.
A better name would have been "Scow". Using the venerable Mustang name is an insult.

MOPAR is gone.  GM is sliding fast and Ford isn't far behind.

Everytime I see one of those electric 'pony-batched' Godzillas I immediately shake my head. They are popular over here.
GM also offers a new 4dr Opel Manta compact SUV which originally was a coke bottle shaped Corvette lookalike 2dr fastback Coupe in the 1970s (similar to the Opel GT). MGs are now electric 4dr SUVs. yesterday I saw a real 1950s MGA on the road. then comparing this to the new one, what a disgrace.
Last weekend I was attending a car show in rural Croatia and it was CROWDED by the thousands with everyday people attending the show for noisy cars, loud music, good BBQ and cold beer. Having fun, chatting, dancing. living a full life.
I get the feeling people are really getting fed up by all the modern nonsense, regulations, prohibitions and whatnot.....maybe...

The week before I attended a vintage RocknRoll festival, also on the Croation Adriatic coast and we had a great time. Since my 57 needs some mechanical work, this year I took my 61 bug. Driving an old car on backroads for several hundred miles and meeting great likeminded people, sure feels like freedom these days.

The VW color is called 'sea blue', which pretty nicely goes along with , well.... the sea blue....haha
