source for door key lock to latch rods

My mistake..that is what was happening when I had the wrong side tail piece in. I just went out and checked and the key does come out now in the locked position. My door isn't installed, so I can't check to see if my button will let you lock the door without the key, but I'm sure it won't and it's the same as yours.  Thanks, Rich

     I just thought that it was another thing that was diffrent from one 57 to another,like ash trays.
