It would be a lot of work to fix it back.   Someone sure spent some time.  What a shame.

I dont get the whole "kustom" thing.. I can appreciate some of that style but this one clearly got lost somewhere.  Sad end for a hardtop....

If it didn't scare the fish away you could use it as a $25,000.00 boat anchor. Jim

Here in the Northeast we call cars like this, "parts cars" I've bought more than a few "customs" for the sheetmetal.

Zapato

I love kustoms, both mild and full, unfortunately this one went south really early.  Not much that on this one that works or enhances the original design. Hopefully it started down this path as a hopeless rust bucket.

It does however fall into that category of its not mine so it doesn't have to please me at all.

Guys:

To someone this was his/her work of art, love or something.  Definitely not my cup to tea, but lots of effort or money invested to do this.

and really would like to see more of the interior and how those (believe to be) 1961  Dodge Polara tail lights look ,work, from behind.

Actually your right 57again. It possibly COULD be someones art. Maybe not the art of the masses, but to someone.

Zapato, I really hope your right, and it was risen from a super rusty grave. And I also like the interior. Just not the paint and the bastardized headlights

RICH MUISE

I was also curious about the interior..dash, etc., and the back end of the car. Trying to think positively here...as Bob said somebody spent a great deal of time and money on this project. Whoever did the body and paint has skills I'm envious of. Very reminiscent of some of the stuff we were seeing in the early days of customizing.
It is a great example of why it is so difficult to customize a car with an aesthetic appearance such as we've seen from on Bob Burgdoff's 2 dr custom, and Rad Rides by Troy's Ranchwagon.
