Thanks guys, she absolutely love it, we took it out of town for lunch yesterday and it was perfect. She mentioned that she would like me to get rid of the "little tires" though, lol.

What is the history on that car, Joe. It doesn't look like it spent much time in the Northeast.

Actually a Michigan car originally. The OG owner had a 42 car collection and is starting to get on in years so is starting to sell it off, one at a time.

It looks wonderful, even underneath.  Fix that A/C, and do a few things.  Check it all over, and enjoy it.  You are correct, just to nice to pass up.

The 57 came in this morning.  IT would start then die.  A quick check in the distributor, new chinese points and condenser.  Removed the plugs and blasted them.  With the plugs out I set the dwell then with the plugs on the wires and grounded checked the timing, too far advanced, set it back to 8*. Still would try to start but would not New fuel pump on the engine, checked pressure "0".  Rigged up an electric pump using fresh non ethanol, started right up.  Ran for 10 minutes then started popping out the exhaust.  Chinese points and condenser.
Just ordered a Petronics kit with matching coil. The adventure begins.

Had the exact same experience with "chinco" parts in the Ranchero.  Started and ran 20 minutes, rested to cool off, started and ran another 20 minutes for break-in and never hit a lick again!  Changed out all the stuff (cap, rotor and coil) with known good used, everything but the points and condenser.  They had to be OK?  Went with high end USA parts and have lived happily ever after!

A call for help.
Does anybody have a good power window motor?
The previous owner was working the window with a battery drill. :deadhorse:

I have used a 12v  drill / batteryfor years without problems. Very handy to the point I bought a new 12V drill, removed the motor, and replaced it with some wires with alligator clips. That worked out great as there is no power to the wires until you pull the trigger, and easily change polarity with the push of a button. Very handy in salvage yards to check out electrical parts on site.
NOTE: the key to what I just posted is 12V. Most battery stuff nowadays is 18 v, which is where your po may have messed up.

Tomorrow I am heading down to Vernon, Tx. for the Summer's Last Blast show and cruise. Looking forward to it, it should be big as usual, even though the temps will be a bit over 100*. It's been a while sincwe I've had the '57 on a long drive, that's the best part. It's 175 miles south of Amarillo right on 287. Hopefully, I'll get some inquiries on the "for Sale" signs in the windows. There is normally 4-600 cars in the cruise, all 78 or older. This year however, they are letting newer cars in for double the entry fee if there is room for them.

Met up with my friend Greg yesterday. He has the 57 Meteor. A perfect example of what was offered in the Niagara version (A 300 custom)
A great running 272 version with the complete trim package.
Only about 6900 made in 57 at the Ford Plant in Oakville Ontario.(still producing Fords today)

We met up at the Leslie Motors, for the  Ford and Merc show ... which is held annually.
Don Leslie is 3rd Gen of the family owned Ford Dealerships..... this one in Harriston Ontario is a 100 years old.
Don and his family are great people and friends of ours.

Yesterday I installed the electric fuel pump/oil pressure safety switch. Also started chasing some "mystery" electrical problems.  I ohmed the circuit for the power windows. I was only getting 75% reading.  Turned out the 30amp circuit breaker in the upper left side was the problem. Of course it was the original.  No telling how much of a problem this has caused. Still wondering why there is no current to the back up light feed.
Removed the carburetor for a rebuild, then after removing the insulator plate discovered the rear of the gasket had a vacuum leak.  Also removed the PCV "rig" that went from the rear of the manifold to a in line PCV valve that was plumbed into the plugged off road draft tube.
Replaced the rear main seal last week, the last rebuilder had cut the rope seal 1/4" too short.
Having a great time! :deadhorse:

Next project, installing the Ball's power window kit in the front doors.
