Well... another update.... exhaust is finished and very happy.
I also used the 1956 Ford shock trick to get extra reach on rear tire removal... works well with about 4 inches more.. and cheap... the shocks were 35 bucks each.
So now off to paint and i'll see the car most likely in the late fall.

Your car is looking good and that exhaust system is going to be some fun, but I'll leave that for you  to explain. Hopefully you will be driving it this year.  Jay

Well.. after 5 years... its back.black and Beautiful.. now final assembly begins....
Building 2 at once can be ... exhausting... but the Lord hates a Coward!

All painted but still needs to be cut n buffed.

Now the real fun begins...
On a good note. it runs stops and steers perfectly.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Rory , CJ,... thank you!..I was having my coffee this morning looking at it. planning my next attack.. and chuckled at each time in a post I said"Yep. should be back form the body shop in a few months."
ha ha

Anyhow. the weather 2 days ago was beautiful and now its blanketed by a storm of fresh snow and cold.... so.... I gonna fire up the pellet stove and get started...
The painter wants me to wait a few months before he cuts and polishes.. apparently he wants the body to "gas out"..... releasing any chems that come out and really let paint harden up good.
The paint is a HD Fleet paint,.. single stage and very easy to blow in on any scratches or chips.I have a friend who painted his 32 Ford truck with the same stuff and his paint is hard as nails and no swirls in it after a cleaning.....
This is what I have been told anyhow...... then again..I did trade a cow for magic beans too.

Looking GOOD!  I can almost see you back in my rear view mirror.

Assembly has been going well. slow. but well.... Bumpers are tuff to hold with one hand and bolt into place... but all done and no accidents.. side trim is next, headliner, rubber and then glass.
