Very nice, love the Bird hood scoop.  Looking at doing that on my Ranchero.  Have had the Bird hood for about five years waiting in the wings for the project to get started.

I agree, it really does suit the car. It looks like it was added for clearance for the Edelbrock intake and could be made functional for a carbureted engine.

I in NO WAY am bagging on this car..... it's very very beautiful .....I just don't care for ANY 17-22 inch wheel tire combo on ANY car.....Not a fan of any pro-touring or Import look. That is just me.
The build, fit and finish on this 57 is outstanding......

That car belongs to a very good friend of mine. This is only one of many outstanding cars he has built and owns. Lives in Indiana. Has a vacation home here in Tennessee.

I noticed the filming of the video was in Pigeon Forge, which if I remember is really near the recent fire zone? Sounds like he's really a Ford guy from comments the announcer was making.

I have to jump in for a minute.  Not sure if anyone remembers it, but that fellow with the green and white 300, with the 2004 Cobra drivetrain that was in all the magazines a while back used to be a member here.  Well, we all got to talking about the car, and discussing what we did and didn't like about it, not thinking that the owner might be a member here.  I went on a tear about the wheels on the car, which looked like stock steelies, but were like 17 or 18X 6 or something like that.  They were very narrow.  At any rate, the owner piped up pretty quickly after I verbally trashed his otherwise very cool car.  That was really the only thing that I gave a thorough trashing.  Needless to say, and quite appropriately, the owner was pissed that we were dissecting his dream ride, that was in several magazines at once, and was a very high quality build.  He left the club at that point, and I was left looking like a jackass, because I had broken my own rule about commenting negatively about someones car.  I still do it, but not in print any more.  I can't help that I am an opinionated person, I guess it is one of the things that makes me who I am.  I do agree about any wheel bigger than 16s, they look out of place on many cars.  However, some builds look right with larger wheels.  For instance, Pat Fleischman's Custom turns my crank, period, and it runs 16 or 17" torque thrusts most of the time.    I will also say, I have only seen a small number of `57s that really turned me off, and they all involved the Kustom look, not mild customizing, but that stuff that you used to see in the little books that do not resemble a 57 Ford at all any more, Lincoln or Chrysler canted headlamps, exaggerated fins, or clipped fins, fur, dragging the ground etc.  I can get into looking at mild Kustoms, gassers, street rods, street machines, drag cars, daily drivers, vintage NASCAR, cop cars, you name it.  Not scolding anyone here (heck, I agree with everything said so far), so don't think I am, just wantng to slow down the progress this thread is making before someone puts their foot in their mouth like I did. I probably did more damage to our club in that one instance than has been done since we started, since I was the leader of the club, as well as the ringleader of that pitchfork and torch deal.

You're 100% right on, James. I think sometimes we forget it's not one of the regulars asking guys they've jawed with for years for their opinions...the key word here is "asking".
I deleted my posts. Thanks for the reminder.

Damn, I wish I could afford to have an interior like that done for mine.

James, knowing how hard it is to eat crow have to commend you on doing it so well. Learned something a long time ago. Never criticize someone elses car. If it doesnt please me that's just fine. It only has to ple?se the owner so what I think of it is irrevelant.

There is an old thought in sales. Screw me and 10 people will hear about it. Please me and it's usually a lot less at le?st initially.

The interior on 700 Proof was also done in this area (Knoxville) by a shop that does the interiors for a big time hot rod builder. Second mortgage size price tag.

i posted the link because I love looking at other peoples' interpretations of 57's. I can always pickup an idea here or there even if the car is not to my taste in total. If everybody had the same taste.... well we all know where we would be.
