NICE PIC! I love the '57 T-Bird...and that pic shows what monsters they could be on the track! Sweet! Wish it was in color! That would be pretty slick.
Think I'll download that one and print it out for a frame and on to my wall!

  If we still drove vehicles that got 9-10 mpg nobody would driving or driving much less anyways. So it would be kind of a wash in taxes collected.

I dunno...using Joe's inflation calculator...we should only be paying around $1.60 a gallon now. In WA state the gas tax is approaching $0.90 a gallon. And with the legislature coming back into session in January of this year...and the people in the state having just passed an initiative to lower license tabs back to $30.00 from the $90 to $200 range (depending on which county you live in..King county is the highest)..we will probably see the gas tax go up another $0.30 per gallon spread out over a 3 year increment. I won't be around to suffer that rip off though...should be in MO before summer of this year for good!

1957 T-Bird
I used to sit on that bank with those guys at Mission Raceway and watch Carl Tjorholm run the Black Bird.  Sold popcorn at the track and cleaned up under the grandstands after the event.  For this we got a key to the gate and could ride our bikes on the Motocross track.  Carl sold the Black Bird and the Kremyr Bros. ran it and still have it.  There is a SOHC waiting to go in.
