The '55 t-bird is interesting. the history of those cars says that two or three were built with the Fairlane trim. I saw car number four at Carlyle many years ago. A friend has car number two and much of the trim. The one in the photo appears to have a white wheel, that was never an option. That said, I have to assume this is a created car. Interesting none the less.

Possibly a Ford promo car (program cars they call them today) that was later crushed. The white wheel might have been installed because it would show up better in photos.

Have you seen the two Netflix documentaries on Shelby and Ford about the battles with Ferrari? I saw them about the time the movie For vs. Ferrari came out. They are both real good, and one featured one of Shelby's former mechanics quite a bit that I know. He lives in Sequim now...still going pretty good.
