In regard to post 4900,  in 1970 I was working for road contractor, on I-90, at Chamberland, SD.  I was running a D-9 cat  and they had me dig a big -big trench and bury about 150 cars, some 30's 40's and lots of 50's. There had been a salvage yard real close to the interstate right away, and the cars had to go away. I really wanted to try and save some of them but they said they all had to go. After I had them in the trench they had me run over them with the 9 a few  times, then cover them up. I'v thought about that a lot of times and thought what a waste.

As a young 10 year old kid in Waltham, Mass., I remember Carol!! I remember watching 3 or 4 men in yellow storm gear, carrying lanterns, tied together maybe 5 or 6 feet apart, trying to make their way down the sidewalk pulling themselves along by the fence along side the sidewalk. I also remember the huge elm that almost toppled over, maybe a 45* angle, stopping just feet from my second story bedroom window. The next day my dad and I took a ride down by a few car dealers that had water up to the windows in the car lot. They were by a river off Main Street, close to WATERTOWN. Who woulda guessed? Apparently somebody had a crystal ball.

There was a long thread going on the Hamb about finds in Arizona. Some of them were about old cars that had been buried/piled up in the desert waterways that were normally dry to control floodwaters when they got their occasional storm.

Joe, that really looks good, but I bet that red would really show good in about a foot of snow, so bring it on over.  On a side note, check your anti freeze before you come as it has been damn chilly here lately.
