My pleasure DJ
When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

What I find interesting in quite a few of these photos are people posing in front of their pride and joy. Even back then a 56 Ford wagon was just a utilitarian vehicle to get the family from point a to b, throw groceries in the back, building supplies or even go camping. They were generally just run into ground and replaced every 4-5 years anyways. I just cant see myself standing in front of our 2014 Escape with the family for picture.........maybe I should.

You mean like this?

I believe people were proud of their investment, which was a lot of money at the time. I think we need to remember that until World War II and into the late 1940s, many Americans did not own cars. People lived in cities and towns, and 40 percent did not own cars but used public buses, trolleys and trains.
Soon after the war, a surge in low cost, mass-produced houses occurred outside cities to accommodate returning soldiers and their growing families. The new housing pattern was accompanied by the National Interstate Highway System, which was started in 1956. During the next 50 years, 46,876 miles of highways
were built across America. Americans then could live in affordable suburbs in houses built on cheap land, and they could commute to their now distant jobs with cars.

That looks like one armed and dangerous person who is guarding that custom 300.  It's well protected.

Here's my Mustang in 1970-71-72... I'm amazed it still has the original block in it.

My 1970 429 SCJ 4-speed Ranchero. Another I wished I'd never sold. Picture was taken at Bremerton Raceway in around 1985.

And thus...the explanation of why I have cars that have been following me around for 40+ years waiting patiently for me to spend time with them! LOL!!!

The body is a 69, or at least the front end is a 69.

Except on a Boss car. They did not have the scoops.

Correction made, it is a '69. I had copied and pasted the title from the picture, not realizing that they had even spelled his name wrong.
As mustang6984 pointed out, the author probably assumed it was a 1970 because of the lack of fake quarter panel side scoops.
