I will do some homework on this one.  I think they were Mercury only.  If George was like my father, he would have put a chrome pot metal logo on a new car and a sticker/decal on a used car.  I found this on Changing Vancouver.

In 1947 a Ford dealership was added, Black Motors, run by George Black. We're not sure if the service station always had a sales building on Richards, or was remodeled to add the showroom at the back of the site in a matching style. According to their directory entry the dealership sold "Mercury, Lincoln, Meteor and English Ford Passenger Cars; Mercury Trucks", and were "Wholesale Parts Distributors for All Ford Products." It was a big operation; there are over 20 employees listed in the 1948 street directory.

I acquired this dealer badge for my Torino:

I can't believe I was fortunate enough to find one from the dealer my car was delivered to:

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

I did a Google search for the dealership, that's how I found the old "Merry Xmas" from them:

I then did a "Google search" for Springdale Ford  Emblems and I found this on EPay:

The used vehicles got the paper sticker, new vehicles got the chrome. Every couple years Dad changed the chrome ones to read Ford-Monarch, Ford-Falcon, Ford-Mercury.
M.S.A. stood for the three communities, Matsqui, Sumas, Abbotsford.

The dealership where my dad bought his brand new California Special. I remember going with him back to the dealer after a few months for some warranty work. The showroom had a brand spanking new black jade CJ 69 Mach 1, so tried talking him into trading up for it......he wasn't having any of it.

Yikes! I always liked the 72 Gran Torino Sports, that poos car certainly got some of the horrible late 70s, "Disco era" modifications. Likely had shag carpet, and a Craig Power Play 8 track tape deck, with wedge speakers just sitting on the rear window deck panel, air shocks, and a set of Thrush mufflers or "Purple Horny" glass packs. That poor car!

Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.
