That is some neat engineering there !!! so simple yet effective. they even used a grease fitting on the tilt pin.

The way I've seen it done, is with two pieces of square tubing one mounted to the chassis one mounted to the nose, with a slot so a pin can slide and stop. You simply pool the nose forward until the pain stops it and then tilts.

I did learn something this week.  Hickory bibs.  I have been wearing them for 40 years and never heard that term.  Asked two seamstress and it was new to them.  Never stop learning.  Thank you Google and Guenther.

Couple of years ago had the Shelby GT500 up in WI on one of our summer trips.  It was really nasty from many miles of rain and dirt.  The local high school was having a charity car wash for the band.  You want to talk about kids getting excited.  You'd have thought they had inherited a million bucks!  The band director had to settle a couple of arguments about whose turn it was and remind them that there were other cars there to get cleaned up.  But alas, not much "scenery, not a very good wash job, just a bunch of mostly happy boys.....

Back when I was coaching youth girls fastpitch our primary funding source was car washes. I would each year take my car ('69 fastback Mustang) and "teach" the girls how to properly wash a car. Worked out pretty good...they did a nice jib on cars the following week at the car washes, and since we would do 3-4 in successive weeks we always had a decent take.

Dave...that posting gives me a bit of a laugh...not too long after we were married, we were having some cash flow issues. I had casually mentioned that a guy had pulled into the drive and offered my $5k for my white Courier and that I had told him no, but thanks for the interest. (1992) She popped a cork and wanted me to find him and sell it. I reminded her that I had amply advised her before we were married that I had cars, and that I was a car guy down deep, that I had owned them (the Couriers) since '71 and '72 respectively and that I would not part with them. Further I had no desire to have this discussion again should we once more have money problems. I pointed out that I had been single for 20+ years before getting married, been much deeper in the hole financially than we were and had never entertained the thought of selling them nor would ever.
Been married 30 years this next July...never had that discussion again...and yea...we have had money issues over the years. So that poster...made me laugh...but no...I will not be sharing it with her! LOL!!!
