The Dixon's garage must have been an interesting place, I wouldn't mine living next door. JViera

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

Hey! Sorry, but that's not a Ford!
After searching around I'm thinking that's about a 1927-1928 Essex with it's suicide doors & wood spoke wheels.
Here's a 4 door '28 Essex.

Thanks Tom, I had my doubts. I asked a few guys and they weren't sure either.

I beg for Mercy!

I should stick to stuff that I know for sure....

Ah yes...from back when kids were actually taught something they could use when they got out of high school...instead of fast tracking them all on to 4 years of college and then a degree they never use.

Ha! With all the great Ford pix you've given us how could it be any other way!
Here's a thought; if you delete that post/pic I'll delete my reply to it.
What ya think?

Appreciate it, but I'm not a Democrat, I'll own up to my mistake.  :002:
I asked one guy who thought that was Henry Ford himself, behind the wheel.  :003:
...and shame on me for not catching the suicide doors, never even noticed it.

Anyways, back on track

I'm a little confused on this one though; I'm pretty sure this is a 1960 Ford Starliner. The 400 cu. in. on the hood is what I don't get. Ford offered a 332 or 352 in 1960, correct?

Joe you are correct, 352 was the factory FE in 1960 but these cars weren't required to run factory engines. This class of Sportsman cars ran into the mid 60's and even the 57-58 Fords ran larger FE engines. If I remember correctly the limit was 400 cu in. The top dollar teams used destroked 427's which I thought were around 397 cu in.
