Ain't that the truth; there is nothing "stock" about Stock Car Racing today,  I can't tell a Ford, from a Chevy or a Toyota.

When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded at how much he had learned in the last seven years!

I agree with all the statements above. NASCAR was always my favorite sport and it started going to hell years ago :005: Just follow the money, all pro sports are now just high dollar carnival shows.

1959 Meteor 2 door sedan , 428 Cobra Jet 4 speed. Been drag racing Fords (mostly FEs) 47 years and counting.
Previous 50s Fords include 57 Custom 4 door, 2 57 Ford Sedan Deliveries, 59  Country Sedan, and as a 9 year old, fell in love with the family 58 2 door Ranch Wagon.

Funny thing is that $18,250.00 in January of 1965 equates to $163,081.00 in January of 2022

A recent toyoduh tv ad bragged about the camry stock car being so "advanced".

So they run a 351 Cleveland clone motor, a toploader clone trans and a 9" rear.

So much for jap engineering.

Not anymore, they have gone to trans axle  :005: rack and pinion steering, they are all just the same kit cars now. My favorite sport has gone to hell for me..
