  When I first started with my brother in laws company, we had 2 brand new 1974 Ford vans, 302, 3 speed. They performed great. I did a timing chain replace and had a valve job done on each at 100,000 miles and they were good till the next 100. Then we got the next style, I think 1980s, and with 351s and ATs, they ran 300,000 miles plus with no issues.

 I just wanted to pass along for those who have Netflix there is a pretty good documentary called the Shelby Story. Watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. Focuses a lot on the 64-66 era when the racing and Shelby production were really ramping up. Definitely worth checking out.

Thanks...watching a lot of Netflix these days as I am out in Branson. I will check it ot tonight.

178 mph in 1951 with flathead power.
'In the early 1950s, Fred "Spade" Carillo modified several cars for competition in the SCTA Road Runners Club. Carillo would eventually forge a career designing and manufacturing tubular con-rods in Le Mans-winning Ford GT40s, as well as Jack Brabham's 1966 World Drivers Championship-winning racecar.'
